Referring to people from the Amazons. I've seen many different words and can't figure out which would refer to people.

Amazônicas/ Amazônicos/ Amazônidas .... ???

Since you mentioned "the AmazonS" I infer you mean the Amazonian region, not the State of Amazonas.

agree  Soraya Hoepfner: amazoniense or amazonense are absolutely equivalents, but I would know very few Brazilians who ever heard of 'amazoniense'. Definitevely, I would use 'amazonense'.
