Pode parecer estranho mas, de facto, usa-se a palavra "correr". Como por exemplo, "correr uma amostra em electroforese".
Mesmo em inglês penso que deve soar estranho aos nativos...
Em Portugal usa-se "correr (a amostra)" (eu uso no meu dia-a-dia, em laboratório), no Brasil não lhe posso confirmar, Raphael, mas nunca ouvi outra forma de dizer.
