English to Portuguese translations [PRO] Bus/Financial - Government / Politics | | English term or phrase: Hegemon | Trata-se de um texto econômico-financeiro em que o termo "hegemon" descreve os EUA como o "global hegemon".
Alguém poderia confirmar se o termo "hegemon" de acordo com as teorias é conhecido no Brasil e se enquadra em um texto econômico-financeiro ou se há outro termo para designar o país que detém a hegemonia? Creio que "líder" não cabe muito bem; caso contrário, o autor do texto teria usado "leader" e não "hegemon".
