Edimilson Ferreira: 8:04pm May 31, 2008: Existe a expressão "Rump Parliament" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rump_Parliament), como você pode ver no comentário do Marco Lessa, abaixo. Mas como o "rump" do trecho citado aparece com minúscula, optei por sugerir apenas "resquício decadente".

Uma outra sugestão, já que 'resto' não cai aquelas coisas :-)
