What do I do if someone claims against me?
It is imperative that any correspondence you receive from others involved in the accident should be passed to us immediately. Please note that all correspondence should be unanswered by yourself. Failure to handle correspondence in this matter may prejudice your insurers position when dealing with your claim potentially limiting the protection afforded by your policy in respect of this incident. When we receive correspondence of this nature from yourself, we will forward it to your insurer immediately who will deal with this on your behalf.

Cristina, bem depois me ocorreu uma melhor formulação - "obrigatoriamente sem ter sido respondida" - pois como se vê na explicação qualquer resposta por parte do segurando pode implicar em prejuízo/dano ao processo e a resposta a tal correspondência ficará à cargo da seguradora.

The sentence is poorly written. It should read:

Send us ALL correspondence received from any third party – YOU MUST NOT ANSWER ANY SUCH CORRESPONDENCE.

In other words, the insurance company is saying that customers should not answer third-party correspondence directly, as this could create complications. Rather, the insurance company wants to be responsible for answering all such correspondence.

How you phrase it in Portuguese is of course up to you. As a native Portuguese speaker you will do better at this than I!

P.S. No wonder you had a hard time understanding the sentence. I did too. It is definitely poorly written (a problem I often run into myself in translating PT>EN). But I am confident that this is the intended meaning.
