I don't have a translation suggestion (I work PT>EN not the other way round), but wanted to explain to you that deductible does not modify collision - it modifies "waivers" - ie. a waiver that is deductible (this is the US term, in the UK we say excess) in the event of collision, loss or damage.

What is a collision deductible waiver?

Even though it's illegal to drive without auto insurance coverage in most states, inevitably, there are drivers out there who believe they're above the law. If you should happen to be hit by an uninsured driver, it wouldn't be fair for you to have to pay for the damages. That's why the collision deductible waiver is available when you buy auto insurance coverage from Esurance.

In states where it's available, you're required to buy a collision deductible waiver in conjunction with your collision coverage. The collision deductible waiver pays your collision deductible if your insured car is involved in an accident in which an uninsured motorist is held legally responsible. If you have a high deductible this is especially helpful!

Uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage is another important type of auto insurance coverage to be aware of. There are 2 types of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage: bodily injury and property damage. Both will help cover you in case of an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver.

The repercussions of driving without insurance should fall on the culprit, not the victim. Without a collision deductible waiver, however, you could get stuck cleaning up after somebody else's mess.

Even if a collision deductible waiver is not mandatory in your area, we recommend you cover yourself when you buy you auto insurance coverage. A few extra dollars a month can save you quite a bit of money if you ever have to deal with an uninsured driver. In a perfect world, everybody would carry auto insurance coverage. Since this isn't a perfect world, a collision deductible waiver is a wise investment.

Se o Quandt tiver razão, nós todos estamos errados.
"deductible collision/loss damage waiver" é um tipo de seguro no qual o segurado FICA ISENTO DA FRANQUIA (=DEDUCTIBLE) se ele não for culpado pelo acidente, ou se o outro motorista não tiver seguro. Ou seja, é um SEGURO COM ISENÇÃO DE FRANQUIA.

No Dicionário de Seguros não encontrei tal conceito. Vejam:
FRANQUIA – É um valor inicial da importância segurada, pelo qual o segurado fica responsável como segurador de si mesmo e pode ser
simples ou dedutível.

ajustado ao valor da importância segurada da apólice de riscos de Engenharia, considerando-se o fator multiplicador constante na Tarifa.
2.COMBINADA – É a modalidade de franquia, especificada em valores monetários, aplicada tanto à seção de Danos Materiais quanto a de

3. DEDUTÍVEL – É a modalidade de franquia que obriga o segurador
a indenizar tão-somente os prejuízos que excedem ao valor da franquia, que sempre será deduzido da indenização total.

5. EM TEMPO – É a modalidade de franquia, especificada em tempo,

Num saite de reclamações encontramos o seguinte pergunta de um SEGURADO e resposta da SEGURADORS:
"RECLAMAÇÃO
FRANQUIA
No Jornal Hoje da TV Globo deu uma informação que quando há um sinistro e que quando o motorista segurado não for o culpado da batida ele não é obrigado a pagar a franquia, gostaria de saber se é realmente verdade e que caso seje gostaria da devolução da importância paga por mim uma vez que bateram no meu veiculo.
Está no contrato que a franquia do seguro só precisa ser paga quando você amassar o carro. Se você bater num outro veículo o reparo dos danos desse terceiro veículo deve ser feito pela seguradora sem nenhuma franquia. Só que pouca gente sabe disso."
RESPOSTA
"Prezado Sr.
Agradecemos seu contato.
Segundo a área sinistro auto/RE:
O pagamento da franquia pelo segurado é obrigatório, independente de sua culpabilidade, quando ele aciona o seu seguro. Caso o terceiro, culpado pelo sinistro, tenha seguro em uma outra Seguradora e resolva assumir sua culpa, o nosso segurado pode ser atendido lá sem precisar usar o seu seguro e nem pagar qualquer franquia.
O segurado pode, após pagar sua franquia, pleitear o reembolso da mesma junto à congênere aonde o terceiro tem seguro."
