emissão da apólice de seguro

Diferentemente dos contratos comuns, o Contrato de Seguro é composto por diversos instrumentos que possuem vida e tramitação específica e distinta.

Um contrato comum é formado por um calhamaço de papeis que começa com frases do tipo "Por este instrumento particular..." e termina com frases do tipo "E, por estarem de acordo...". Essas folhas são numeradas sequencialmente e são juntadas e grampeadas e até encadernadas com uma capa do tipo "Contrato Tal", vindo a constituir um único volume.

O contrato de seguro é diferente. É formado por um conjunto de documentos independentes como veremos adiante. Esta forma de contrato foi inventada na Inglaterra no ano de 1.347 e é conhecido como Contrato com Emissão de Apólice.
