Também encontrei essa tradução em meus alfarrábios para "legacy version". Qualquer uma (anterior ou antiga) pode ser usada neste contexto.

Não sei se a diferença é significativa, mas o original indica que as versões é que são antigas ou anteriores, não os documentos. Não sei se Windchill é masculino ou feminino. Poderia ficar assim: "... as versões antigas (pré-Windchill) dos documentos."
