Em geral, para programas e navegadores, traduzimos como guia. É a tradução mais usada. Acho que somente no Mozilla Firefox tab é traduzido como aba.

Explanation:
A palavra é usada p. ex. para se referir a cada uma das áreas em que um navegador de páginas da Internet exibe o conteúdo acessado. É possível se conectar a várias páginas, uma de cada vez, sendo cada uma delas carregada em uma aba ou guia do navegador.

Além disso, certas caixas de diálogo de vários programas distribuem seu conteúdo em seções que podem ser chamadas de guias ou abas.

Em ambos os casos, quando se usa o Windows, é comum se poder alternar entre as abas segurando a tecla CTL enquanto se aperta a tecla TAB.
