Note que, por falta de contexto, o shim pode ser:
shim
<jargon, memory management> A small piece of data inserted in order to achieve a desired memory alignment or other addressing property.
Nesse caso, a melhor tradução é \"SHIM DO PROCESSADOR\".

(note that copper is mispelled in the second link as 'cooper')

After looking around, it seems that \'copper shim\' is most commonly used.

Indeed, from what I can see, \'copper shim\' is far more common in English as well, though \'processor shim\' is used by a handful. A Google search shows two clear images of what it is. (It is essentially a guard to prevent the heatsink from heating up the processor).

This link is really the clearest of all:

...just to update, I think the safest bet of all is simply \'shim.\' While almost always made of copper, there are other types of shims for processors made of other material. (see http://www.sidewindercomputers.com/copshimfortb.html)
Not to waste too much time on this issue, but I think it is important to be conscious of whether or not terms are actually used in a given field. The other answers are good as descriptors, but I think they also present good examples of literal translations of a technical term that are not widely used.
good luck :)
