Oi Ivone,

Tradicionalmente resume é traduzido como retomar, recuperar, reiniciar. Mas acho que no seu caso é aquele lance em que o DVD pára quando vc aperta a tecla Stop mas retorna no ponto em que parou, sem voltar ao primeiro capítulo.

Vê no seu contexto se faz sentido.
