No BRASIL, qual é a tradução apropriada para "COLLEGE".

Trata-se de uma instituição de ensino superior ao ensino primário/secundário.

Em português de Portugal, eu usaria "Instituto".

Explanation:
como diz no seu comentário 'college' não se refere a universidades, e acho que faculdade é sempre parte de uma universidade ou sinónimo...

Existem Escolas e até Colégios de ensino'superior' ao secundário, ficaria bem melhor do que Faculdade.

Por exemplo 'Escola Superior de Belas Artes'
'Instituto de Novas Profissões'
