Será preferível utilizar "enrolamento do estator" ou "estator", para consonância com o "rotor" (armature).

Nota: infelizmente, vêm-se alguns sítios com "bobinas de campo" no contexto de motores eléctricos. É um erro grave! Em motores eléctricos, os "coils" (do estator e do rotor) são "enrolamentos" e não "bobinas". As bobinas são também enrolamentos, mas servem para outras coisas...
