Pilot had been onboarded to proceed to the terminal, but she could not ahead condition but stay in the position.

SHE refere-se ao navio (tanto é que na GÍRIA - pasmem - chamam navio de OUR LADY). Vê-se que o texto não foi escrito por um nativo, o que é normal em navegação. Deveria haver um verbo entre NOT e AHEAD. AHEAD significa colocar o motor para mover o navio à vante.
