Fiz um pouco mais de pesquisa sobre \"breather socks\" e cheguei a conclusao que as tais socks sao uma especie de mangueiras que se costumam ver nos silos e fazem parte do sitema de respiracao e filtragem de ar dos mesmos.
Se for ao site:
www.acmegroup.com.au
e procurar em \"Dry Filtration\" encontrara na seccao \"Air and Gas Filtration / Air Quality Control\" uma fotografia de \"Silo Chutes and BREATHER SOCKS\".

Se existe um nome especial em portugues para \"Breather Socks\" e coisa que nao sei. Mas pelo que vejo na foto, talvez se possa chamar \"mangas de respiracao\".

Obrigada por sua contribuicao. Estava mesmo mais dificil para mim compreender o significado de "breather socks".
Breather bags, entretanto, fica melhor traduzido como filtro, que como "esterilizado".
