English to Portuguese translations [PRO] Science - Zoology / Nutrition, psittacine species | | English term or phrase: grit | Grit is not essential for captive psittacines species, but it may increase the digestibility of feed bys as much as 10%. Birds may ingest too much grit and became impacted. Some veterinarians advocate withholding grit because of this risk. There do not appear to be any adverse consequences from withholding grit from psittacine species.
Obrigada!
Obs.: a tradução "grão" não serve, porque essas aves comem grãos (milho etc). |
