Conf. ref. citate mai jos, pare a fi echivalentul mecanic al unei sigurante electrice (boltul nu se topeste, dar se rupe la soc - are o crestatura - permitand decuplarea motorului de aripa avionului in cazul unei prabusiri, impact, etc
(in incercarea de a se evita incendierea fuzelajului)
Probabil celelalte "pins" sunt bolturi obisnuite care sunt dimensionate astfel incat sa nu poata sustine motorul ("sa nu reziste") fara "fuse pins"
