To add, to specializations of the civil status department which was established by GPC decision No.(115) for 1999, the specializations related to local affairs as being determined in this decision. Article (2) To establish within specialization of each civil register office of civil status dept. (local affairs section) with number of units, according to the need, where some officials or collaborators work to under take the tasks determined in this decision.It is allowed to establish more than one local affairs section within one civil register office according to the population's density. The procedure of sections and units working, as well as conditions and controls of choosing the officials or collaborators and terminating their service are determined by decision from GPC secretary for public security following proposal from head of civil status dept.
Article (3) The local affairs section and its units aim to offer services to the citizens – as per this decision, it may make use of local people's security of the conference when needed. Statements that are issued from local affairs will be legal only after being approved by head of concerned local affairs section.
Article (4) The local affairs section is concerned about issuing the following statements: Determination of actual domicile. Determination of residential situation. Certificate of good conduct. Confirmation of indoors delivery case. Confirmation of indoors death case. Confirmation of other incidents and cases related to local affairs that are issued in a common decision from both GPC secretary of justice and GPC secretary for public security with regard to this decision rules. The statements that are issued from local affairs section are confined to the tasks and purposes that are determined in this decision, and according to the enclosed forms that should be serially numbered.
