English term or phrase: Ampersand

Nu vreau o traducere, e de fapt o întrebare. Într-un text tehnic în engleză se folosește în tabele semnul & (de exemplu „pump & filter”). E corect ca în română să se păstreze ampersandul sau e mai bine să se folosească „și”? Există vreo regulă?

Explanation:
În limba română concatenarea cuvintelor este realizată de conjunctivul „şi”.
Ampersandul este folosit în limbile engleză şi franceză. De fapt este vorba de prescurtarea cuvântului latin „et”, ampersandul fiind o ligatură a lui.

După câte ştiu DEX-ul nici nu cunoaşte acest semn (&).
