English to Romanian translations [PRO]
Games / Video Games / Gaming / Casino / Rummy & Canasta | | English term or phrase: High Ace / Low Ace | High Ace: The Ace may be used as a high card (meld example: Q-K-A) in Kalooki 51 and Traditional Rummy and Kalooki 40.
Low Ace: The Ace functions only as a low card (Meld example: 1-2-3) in Gin Rummy, Oklahoma Gin. In Kalooki 51 and Traditional Rummy it fuctions as both high and low cards.
Ma gandisem sa traduc 'as mare/as cu valoare mare', respectiv 'as mic/as cu valoare mica'. Nu stiu daca acestia sunt temenii consacrati, si prefer sa folosec limbajul deja consacrat.
Pe langa aceasta intrebare, stie cineva unde pot gasi regulilile de joc pentru aceste jocuri mentionate in explicatii in varianta scisa de un vorbitor nativ - de preferat nu traducere?

Traducerea depinde de la joc la joc. Din exemplele furnizate de tine, traducerea mea este cea mai buna deoarece asul reprezinta capatul unei serii de carti cu valori mica, respectiv mare. "Mare" si "mic" inseamna, in acest caz, valoarea cartilor din serie.
In Hold'em, initial jucatorul primeste doua carti. Daca am, de exemplu, A-Q, se spune ca am un High ace, adica un as mare. A-3 este un low ace, adica as mic.
Dupa cum spuneam si la o alta intrebare, raspunsul il da un jucator de poker cu doi ani experienta. Care si castiga.

"Vreau să renunţe cu 8 sau un As slab, aşa că vreau să adun. Decid că dacă aş avea un As puternic aici, probabil doar aş chema. De ce mi-aş risca toate jetoanele cu un As puternic împotriva şansei ca el să aibă un 2? Aşa aş fi jucat cu un As puternic - trebuie să îl conving că am un As puternic.
