In Canada si SUA tejghelele de bucatarie sunt placi continue, si se imbina cu peretele (sunt practic lipite de perete, sau fixate intr-un fel); probabil unele contin si o astfel de placa de scurgere care ar trebui sa fie asemanatoare cu partea metalica de scurgere atasata chiuvetelor in Romania. Arat ca o "masa" continua, iar unele au aceasta parte de scurgere pentru vase langa chiuveta.
