In order to avoid sampling artifacts, as they may occur for instance during collection on filters, particles are collected with a so-called "thermophoretic sampler" . The deposition mechanism on which this device is based guarantees a structure-preserving and representative deposition. In a thermophoretic sampler, the particles to be collected are exposed to a temperature gradient, such that the surface of a TEM grid is at the lower temperature level, whereas the gas streaming over the grid has a higher temperature.

Pentru analizor există analyzer. Nu vreau să contrazic pe nimeni, însă prelevatorul sau aparatul de recoltat probe sau sampler, sunt termeni folosiţi în practică. El colectează proba şi atât.

Notes to answerer

Asker: Multumesc pentru varianta, am predat insa materialul, si personal raman la convingerea mea ca "sampler" in engleza inseamna mai mult decat "prelevator" in romana. Asa cum se mentioneaza si in definitia indicata de mine, un "sampler" preleveaza SI analizeaza ceea ce a prelevat. Cu siguranta insa ca exista multe tipuri de "samplers". Cat despre prelevator, desi vad ca intr-adevar exista referinte si este folosit in forma aceasta, nu sunt foarte sigura ca este corect, eu nu l-am regasit in DEX, DOOM si DN. Este totusi posibil sa fie un termen strict tehnic, si se mai intampla ca termenii acestia sa apara numai in dictionarele de lexic specializat. Voi inchide intrebarea si voi introduce in glosar ambele variante, si cea folosita de mine si cea sugerata de dvs.
