Din citatele de pe Internet se pare ca plăcile refractare vin la cutii, care se pun pe paleţi. Termenul "poundable" se refera la faptul că sunt rezistente la lovituri.
Când se montează ceva, "poundable" înseamnă că se pot bate cu ciocanul.
Dacă este o centrală termică pe lemne, e foarte important ca materialul refractar să reziste la loviturile respective când se bagă pe foc.
