hull - cuvantul in sine inseamna corpul navei dar, in exprimarile simplficate se mai refera si la "bottom of the hull", carena. Indiferent de interpretare, sugestia mea este ca exprimarea "coca aplatizata" este este mai putin clara decat cea de "carena aplatizata". Mai ales ca, din coca navei, face parte si prova. Cum se face, atunci, diferentierea intre carena aplatizata si prova Maier? ... parerea mea ...

Am uitat sa mentionez ca aceasta carena aplatizata este cea care permite planarea ambarcatiunii pe apa, in contrast cu modul in care carenele in V taie apa.
