Explanation:
Containerele maritime tip dry sunt destinate transportului de marfă care nu necesită măsuri speciale de precauție în timpul transportului, fie că acestea sunt sau nu ambalate adecvat (oțel, semințe, cereale etc.). Deci pot conține și alimente. Însă, nu sunt destinate mărfurilor în stare lichidă sau gazoasă (care pot fi vărsate/în vrac), sau care necesită tratament frigorific. E o diferență între Dry Bulk (marfă uscată în vrac) și Dry (marfă uscată/solidă ambalată). Dry Container ar denumi containerele simple, nefrigorifere, de uz general (vs. cele speciale) care pot fi folosite intermodal (vapor, tren, camion). Termenul e greu de tradus.
