On Above-the-Line material Position of a sub-brand namestyle
For many sub-brands, the product is presented at the point of purchase to the target audience in the form of a piece of packaging. As such, it is the pack that the customer engages with.
A sub-brand may therefore be represented by the approved sub-brand namestyle alone, or by the approved sub-brand namestyle plus the product packaging, or an approved identity for the product.
Position:
The pack can be placed alongside the sub-brand namestyle. It must not be used as a substitute for the namestyle. Always position the pack to the left of the namestyle.
The sub-brand namestyle and pack can be located in position B when press advertising is placed on a right hand page. In these instances the pack must sit to the right side of the namestyle
Relationship with sub-brand
Packs can range in size from small phials up to large drums. The relationship between the namestyle and the pack should be set at the design development stage of a campaign and be consistently applied across all the material created. |
