Еще одна статья из авиастроения. На этот раз описываются результаты испытания прочности при ударном разрушении. В результате была получена цифра - деформации разрушения ниже 3900 micro strain. Только не понятно - это имеются ввиду микро трещины или какие-то другие деформации. и как их могли посчитать? Вот предложение:
Although the test configuration is too conservative without structural redundancy, the failure strain is just below 3900 micro-strain.
