Electrical devices in the ххххх use CAN communication networks for each module depending on selected options. For example, in the push button start system, the IPM, SMK 2.5 module, cluster module, and AVN module communicate via body CAN communication.

Explanation:
Тут подход аналогичный. Речь о вычислительном компоненте комбинации приборов. Он же является шлюзом между двумя шинами CAN. Очень часто модулем называют узел, состоящий из нескольких компонентов. Вот, дабы не путать, можно и детализировать. ИМХО
А блок IPM - это у корейцев Блок управления питанием.
