neutral  Andrei Mazurin: Это даже на Прозе есть, коллега. :-) // Ответы из Мультитрана, размещенные на Прозе, всегда смотрятся. Судя по всему, отвечающие искренне полагают, что спрашивающие Мультитраном не пользуются. :-)

  -> да пусть смотрятся и что тут такого? мультитран и для того чтобы там слова искали. И спрашивающие и отвечающие могут пользоваться мультитраном, только вот подобрать нужное слово не всем удаётся. Или здесь есть бан на мультитран о котором я не знаю?

Occasionally, I see the letters "S.S." on a notarial certificate, usually near the venue. What do these letters mean?

Some notaries mistakenly believe that they are to fill in the signer's social security number after the letters "SS" Actually, the letters are the abbreviation of the Latin word scilicet, meaning "in particular" or "namely." They appear in the venue, so that the location of the notarization literally reads, "In the State of Florida, in particular the County of ____." YOU MAY SIMPLY IGNORE THESE LETTERS AND COMPLETE THE VENUE AS USUAL (выделено мною).
