Explanation: Точную расшифровку аббревиатуры не скажу, но мне кажется, что смысл здесь - процентный объем вещества, которое можно растворить, превышает половину объема воды, в котором оно растворяется. Т.е. в воде можно растворить вещество в количестве, превышающем половину ее объема. Разница между процентами и граммами здесь из-за того, что у воды и у этого вещества разный удельный вес.
