The parallel option causes the system to fork off processing tasks to run in parallel inside a single transaction. If there is a failure, the result is a roll-back of all changes. You can set the maximum number of parallel tasks explicitly, or let the server decide the optimum distribution. The Parallel option is useful for speeding up processing.
