| English term or phrase: Local vs. Global geometry | I have a report on calculation of fix point loads on roof panel of steel structure. The author uses these two terms "Local geometry" and "Global geometry" when describing the roof structure as a whole and its segment respectively. E.g.
[_paragraph title_] Local geometry and segments
The curve of the roof is divided in different segments. Each segment has a starting point with the coordinates I(Xi/Yi) and an end point J=I+1 with the coordinates J(Xj/Yj).
Then a table titled "Local geometry in the segments" basically lists coordinates of points and lengths, which I believe is referred to as "Local geometry" (in this case, because it's a segment of roof).
Basically, I'm not 100% sure if I can use the word "Геометрия". If yes/no then why, and what other equivalent could that be? I appreciate your advice.

Thank you. |
