Генотоксичностъ микроорганизмов определяли по одному из наиболее используемых информативных параметров — моменту хвоста «кометы» (ТМ, Tail Moment), который рассчитывали как произведение процентного содержания ДНК в «хвосте» на длину «хвоста» в условных единицах (Olive et at, 1990, 1992).
Повреждение ДНК определяли с помощью метода ДНК-комет в нейтральных условиях по параметру момента хвоста «кометы».
