Мой вариант нейтрален, я не говорю, в какую сторону идут изменения, это вытекает из контекста. Если в предыдущем предложении речь будет вестись о +0,5, мой вариант так и будет читаться, если -0,5 - значит прочитается как -0,5 пункта...

disagree  Mikhail Kropotov: Within a margin of означает в пределах, т.е. в данном случае разница может составлять от -0.5 до +0.5 (и может быть равна нулю). Ваш вариант подразумевает постоянное различие, что неверно.
