В консалтинговых и аудиторских компаниях существует деление по отраслям, причем группа близких отраслей образуют т. наз. practice.

Тонкость в том, что отрасль промышленности, пусть даже крупная, не всегда образует крупную practice -- например, разные отрасли пользуются услугами аудиторов в разной мере. Если читателю это важно, или если слово practice используется в тексте многократно, я бы ввел отдельный термин "практика".
