Предлагаемые в словарях варианты "боевой дух" и "моральное состояние" мне не нравятся.

Помимо приведенных выше вариантов, я бы все-таки поддержал значение "моральное состояние", в зависимости от более широкого контекста, разумеется. Думаю, Вам зря не нравится этот вариант. В менеджменте он используется достаточно широко.

Возможно Вам и не нравится, но так надо перевести. Термин такой имеется в экономической литературе и включает в себя понятие рабочего энтузиазма, мотивация рабочих, их моралное состояние духа.
