Может быть, input – это все-таки не просто мнение, а конкретный “вклад” в создание американских версий рекламных материалов компании и т.п. (т.е. не просто перевод, а переработка с расчетом на американского потребителя).

Что же тут, в таком случае, означает representation?

а ниже шовинстское противопоставление, мы де американская компания и производственными мощностями за рубежом, а не азиатская компания
