In a preferred variant of the invention (not illustrated in detail), the compensating coupling 192 is a torsionally stiff flexible coupling. Particularly preferred examples of flexible couplings are either a flexible disk coupling or a gear coupling. A flexible disk coupling comprises one or more elastic members such as disc-shaped lamellae or the like made of metal or synthetic material, typically of special steel. The elastic members, which are typically arranged radially to the coupling axis and shear-loaded, provide radial, axial and angular tolerance due to their flexibility.
