English to Russian translations [PRO] Media / Multimedia / DVD course about the technique of creating dolls
English term or phrase:sweet button
The right arm has aubergine colour on it. And the left hasn’t yet. It’s like a before and after picture. So again XX is going to demonstrate the colour first on the head. She has mixed some of the aubergine paint already. Just the same way she mixed the skin colour with a little water. She has already painted two layers of the skin tone on the head. And now you use a smaller brush than before to create the effect. The trick here is to use a small sponge to remove any excess paint. So as you see, using only a small amount of colour, dab it on the head, and then soak up the rest with a sponge to create a nice soft effect. The more water you mix with, the thinner it gets. So, you have to go over it more times. The thicker the paint is, the quicker it soaks in, but you need to have a balance, too, because a too strong colour does not look good, either. So that’s enough there, because we’re going to do another layer of skin on top. And here you can see the difference between just the skin tone and the skin in aubergine tone. And the leg on the right has two layers of skin, then an aubergine and again a skin on top, to create a nice layered effect. Now back to the head. The aubergine has dried and so has another layer of skin on top. And now we can do the forehead, the cheeks and the mouth. The best brush to use in these areas, is a nice thin one. As XX is showing, you don’t need too much colour at all. Just a little, and you can wipe away the excess. Start by applying just a little of the paint to see what it looks like. It is better to use less colour at the beginning. And then go over the part more times. It’s better to do it like that than to use too much colour and than have to wipe off or even use the nicky clean colour remover. If you want to, you can also go over the area again with a skin colour, if the aubergine is too prominent. However, it is better to use a little colour, and then do more layers, than have to cover over. You can create different effects for the nose, if you put just a little colour on the nose, then you make the nose look like a SWEET BUTTON. With the colours less is more.
maybe a better option would be "очаровательная пуговка" ? :-)
I have found the following example:
