5-фторурацил -- это противоопухолевый препарат. Никакой отдельной цитотоксической группы, насколько я знаю, у него нет. Он сам по себе ЦИТОСТАТИК, то есть препарат, обладающий цитотоксическим действием.

Кстати, фторурацил (без пятерки) -- полный синоним 5-фторурацила, более употребимый в отечественной литературе.

Я бы перевела так:
...является предшественником цитостатика 5-фторурацила (или фторурацила, если отважитесь)...
В крайнем случае, так:
...является предшественником цитотоксического препарата/средства фторурацила...
