The nichrome resistor, built into the secondary or wood channel form, must be connected to the burnout transformer as shown on Figure 1. By regulating power in a carefully controlled manner (described later in this section) from the burnout transformer that may have been supplied with the original equipment for this job, the resistor becomes heated causing burnout of the form and heat up of the dry vibratory refractory developing the necessary ceramic bond in the inductor lining.
