With respect to the mounting of the inserts in the grooves, they are preferably inserted in the grooves when the cooling plate is in a hot (heated) state, to benefit from the thermal expansion thereof. When cooling down, metal retraction will cause a tight (interfering) contact that results in good fixation (locking) of the inserts as well as good thermal exchange with the cooling plate.

Довольно распространенный метод сборки соединений с натягом: нагреваем одну деталь, она при нагреве расширяется, запрессовываем в нее вторую и охлаждаем. При охлаждении первая деталь сжимается и образуется еще больший натяг в соединении. Часто без нагрева такое соединение вообще не получится собрать.
