Most of the time. Except, for example “The injured climber spent the night on the mountain, as the rescue team couldn’t get to him”

But in our example we have “She gets me” not “She gets to me”.

"Get" is a really versatile word.

She gets him = She understands him = Она его понимает
She got him = She played a joke on him / She took her revenge on him (depending on the context) = Она сыграла с ним шутку / Она ему отомстила / Она его наказала, в зависимости от контекста
She will get him (same as in the previous case, but in the future tense)
She gets to him = She annoys him, she gets on his nerves or she gets under his skin (depending on the context) = Она его раздражает, достала / Она не дает ему покоя (в хорошем или плохом смысле), в зависимости от контекста
She got to him = Она его достала
She got to him on time = Она успела к нему вовремя

The hero gets his girl = Герой завоевывает свою девушку / получает ее расположение
The police get their man = полиция ловит своего преступника

In summer, temperatures in Sydney sometimes get to 40C and above.
When I got home, it was already dark.
I hope I get a nice present for Christmas this year

And so on.

Your examples above are grammatically incorrect. Should be: “The strain was beginning to get TO me”, and so on

Примеры:

The strain was beginning to get me. - Напряжение стало сказываться на мне.

You say that the music seemed to be very sad, that it got you. - Ты говоришь, что музыка показалась тебе печальный и тронула тебя за душу.

It really gets me when he says these stupid things. - Меня раздражает, когда он говорит эти глупости.

It kind of gets you after a while - Спустя какое-то время это начинает действовать вам на нервы.

His rude manners get me. - Его грубое поведение меня возмущает.

That's got him. - Вот он и попался.

И так далее.

The other suggestions (она не выходит у меня из головы / не могу не думать о ней, она просто сводит меня с ума, она меня достала, вызывать эмоции, чувства) are translated as "She gets to me"
