| 'short accounts' with god "поддерживать [хорошие] отношения" Explanation: А что, только мне показалось, что сама фраза звучит несколько неправильно? Либо должна быть запятая после "sin" (вообще-то, "sins"), либо же "keeps 'short accounts' ". Мне кажется, что логичнее предоложить второе. Иначе говоря, смысл тот, что исповедь и просьба о прощении грехов помогает "поддерживать [хорошие] отношения" с Богом (для протестантских текстов вполне нормальное выражение).
