В тексте используется аббревиатура. Вопрос - как переводим и используем ли аббревиатуру. Если используем, то какую?
Текст популярный, для активного разъяснения обществу, что такое child abuse. Мы избегаем избыточной научности, лично я против английской абревиатуры.

хоть и длинно, но это самое общее определение.
offender - это тот, кто уже совершил преступление и осужден за него, а не просто потенциальный преступник типа развратника. При этом преступления могут быть самые разные, начиная от сексуальных домогательств, кончая изнасилованием.

Мне кажется, можно сказать "растлители" или "развратители малолетних" либо "педофилы". Педофилия - одновременно болезнь и преступление.

Child sex offenders часто применяется взаимозаменяемо с child sex molesters.
