Explanation:
Как я понимаю смысл, данный велосипедист сумел попасть в группу отрыва, причем отрыв от пелотона в определенный момент составил восемь минут. Впоследствии, за 55 км до финиша пелотон (пелетон?) догнал группу отрыва, и в итоге этот спортсмен занял лишь 31-е место
