English term or phrase: Gratitude
Looking for the ancient Sanskrit (devangari?) translation for the word "graititude", I guess if that's not possible a word that has a very similar meaning, like "thanks" or "the state or feeling of thanks".

Thanks in advance.

Please read the answer as कृतज्ञत्‍वं as धन्‍यवादं means thanks. Also, ं or म् are same. Please don't be confused.

Thanks so much.... I've been finding so many answers and translations, but definitely the one I think that fits is कृतज्ञता . Thanks you all for your generosity

agree  Mrudula Tambe: Actually Thanks and Gratitude are two different terms. Thanking is an action and gratitude is an emotion. कृतज्ञता is the translation of gratitude and धन्‍यवाद is a translation of thanks.
