Međutim, najveći udeo u netolerantnosti useva u ponovljenoj setvi imaju biljno-parazitarne nematode. Za poljoprivredu imaju veliko značenje sledeće nematode: Heterodera schachtii (nematoda šećerne repe), Heterodera avenae (nematoda ovsa), Heterodera rostochiensis (nematoda krompira), Heterodera trifolii (nematoda deteline), Heterodera cruciferae (nematoda kupusa).

* Zrele ženke limunastog oblika, dužine 0,7 i širine 0,45 mm. U početku su bele, kasnije postaju bledožućkaste, a kao ciste poprimaju tamnosmeđu boju. U nas se ova nematoda sreće u svim rejonima gajenja šećerne repe, sa žarištima u Vojvodini i Pomoravlju. Ubraja se u važne štetočine ovog useva.

U proizvodnji šećerne repe u Srbiji poslednjih godina registruje se sve češća pojava repine nematode (Heterodera schachtii Schmidt), posebno na površinama u blizini šećerana i parcelama gde se učestalo gaji šećerna repa. Štetnost ovih mikroskopskih crva ogleda se u ozbiljnom smanjenju prinosa i digestije šećerne repe.

Ova štetočina parazitira isključivo podzemne biljne delove. Polno zrele ženke vidljive su golim okom, limunastog su oblika sa istaknutim vratnim delom kojim su pričvršćene za koren (Slika 1).
