Izraz Crowdsourcing (Podugovaranje grupe ljudi) - je nastao spajanjem reči (kovanica) Crowd (grupa ljudi/gomila) i Outsourcing (podugovaranje) i podrazumeva uzimanje posla koji tradicionalno izvršava osoba određena za tu vrstu posla (obično zaposleni) i vršenje podugovaranja veće grupe ljudi za izvršenje tog posla, u formi otvorenog poziva.

No  Mira Stepanovic: Nažalost koleginice, vaš predlog "podugovaranje grupe ljudi" se ne pojavljuje ni u jednoj od navedenih rečenica; jedan od linkova koji ste naveli ne funkcioniše; definicija koju ste naveli je vaš prevod i ne postoji na srpskom jeziku na navedenom linku.

No  Aleksandar Nikolić: Ja bih rekao da je to radna akcija, posto se radi o volontiranju gomile amatera a ne o podugovaranju posla. Eto koliko smo bili ispred vremena ameri su iskovali ovaj izraz tek 2006. godine :-)
