Moglo bi da bude: "Utvrđeno je da progestini mogu povisiti osetljivost receptora na EGF, c-erbB2 i c-erbB3 ili usporiti njihovu aktivnost vezivanja faktora rasta."
Tekst se odnosi između ostalog na uticaj progestina na rak dojke.

Mislim da se obično ostavi "down-stream" u stručnoj literaturi, ali u svakom slučaju označava donji deo toka signala ili donji deo molekula (kao npr. DNK). "Nizvodno" bi se reklo u svakodnevnom govoru. U ovom slučaju: progestini mogu da pojačaju aktivnost ovih receptora niže od mesta vezivanja faktora rasta, ili tako nekako može da se sroči.
P.S. upregulation je ushodna regulacija. |
